MOUNTAIN BIKE TOURS

Looking for a bit more activity during your island vacation? Westpunt is at the far west end of Curacao, out in the country where you can mountain bike in the mondi through all the beautiful and unspoiled areas.

Westpunt Riders is a foundation originally created to provide some healthy activities to the local youth. It has developed into a much grander program with an even larger potential for these boys.

They have cleared miles of trails along the undeveloped north coast, up into the hills and to Shete Boca and Boca Tabla. The Westpunt Riders ride on some of the best single tracks Curacao has to offer, often accompanied by the wild donkeys, iguanas, rabbits or goats. These trails will lead you to vistas of the rough coast and other fantastic views.

The club has now reached a point where the older teens have the experience to lead visitors on guided tours. These could be as easy as riding to see Boca Pistol or heading to Playa Lagun for a couple hours of snorkeling. On your tour they will point out our various plants and birdlife. For more experience riders, the boys can lead you on some very technical trails. Along with the best local young riders from Banda Bou, we have bikes, helmets, gloves and water. If you are a serious rider please bring your MTB shoes and pedals with you on vacation. Yes, the riding is that good.

We hope you will agree that a mountain bike tour is a great way for all to see our island. Come join the Westpunt Riders for a ride and allow some young athletes show you their island. A two hour tour with equipment is only $35 per person plus 5% tax. You will find it invigorating, informative, and above all a lot of fun - another enchanting side of Curacao!
