Westpunt Riders, a MTB club for Westpunt youth

I am starting a mountainbike club for the youth of Wstpunt. This club would provide a bike, helmet and shoes for any child going on our rides. Between scheduled rides, the equipment will be stored and shared with those who participate. Along with th bikes we will have adult cyclists to ride and instruct the children. I have met with some fellow riders who have agreed to help out a few days a month. Also Gregory Gouverneur, a rider who is from town, has agreed to help as much as he can.

The traget age of the club will be 10-20 years old.

We see a lot of children here in Westpunt and other than scouts there doesn’t seem to be many programs for them. There are so many active cycle clubs here on Curacao, it is my hope that a child from Westpunt will ride well enough that they would get involved with a racing program and stay out of trouble!

Any advice from you or your friends that have done something like this would be greatly appreciated. I have never done anything like this and I hope to find plenty of help. Also any kind of donations are welcome.
